A Grant to the East End Surf Lifesaving Club enabled them to offer indoor swim training during winter months. Paul Meuli, Funding Coordinator had this to say "Thanks to Pelorus Trust, East End Surf Lifesaving Club has been able to offer swim training to a host of young people over the winter.

Drowning is the third highest cause of death in young people and by offering pool training East End is providing these youngsters with life (and maybe lifesaving) abilities."
